Biography 

Ashley N. Lyons, M. Ed., is a doctoral student at Kent State University. She received her B.S. in special education as an intervention specialist (mild-moderate) with a minor in philosophy  in 2005, and her M.Ed. in early intervention and special education in 2010 from Kent State. Ashley has experience in the areas of policy and professional development, including the use of innovative technologies and instructional approaches for both young children and adult learners.  As a researcher, instructor, consultant, parent of children with special needs and an advocate, Ashley is detail-oriented and results-driven with extensive experience writing, editing, and collaborating to address the needs of young children and their families. Ashley has assisted leaders in the field to refine manuscripts and products, and has supported several doctoral students in editing their dissertations. Passionate about advocating for young children with exceptionalities and their families, Ashley's focus is on the systems-level changes that are needed to improve the funding, implementation, and accessibility of services for all young children.
